ROLE: Logo and book design | CLIENT: Coffin Bound for Image Comics
I designed the logo, the single comic issues and two collected graphic novels for writer Dan Watters and artist Dani, published by Image Comics in 2019. We had a lot of fun leaning into a stripped-back, grindhouse aesthetic to complement Dani's bold inks. I loved exploring the logo for this book, especially the final option that we landed on!

LOGO DESIGN
I explored a variety of different concepts, taking B-movie posters as inspiration with their over-the-top symbolism and often exaggerated shapes.
We discussed the theme of entropy that runs through the book's narrative, and eventually settled on the quite literal shape of the coffin as a form for the words.
